Bersih Rally 2011: Walk For Democracy Malaysia Kini: The 2011 Bersih 2.0 Rally: The Home Ministry assured the people today that there will be no clampdown on the Internet ahead of tomorrow’s 2011 Bersih 2.0 rally (also called the Walk for Democracy) demanding for electoral reforms, Malaysia Kini reports. Minister Hishammuddin Hussein said in a statement, “Don’t listen to rumours. The home ministry has not given such orders but you have to ask the MCMC (Malaysian Communications And Multimedia Commission).”
The 2011 Bersih 2.0 rally is a planned demonstration in Kuala Lumpur to be held on 9 July as a follow-up to the 2007 Bersih rally. It is also said by the Minister Hishammuddin Hussein that all the situation will be handle by the police and police have control on the situation—so there is no need of the army in public order.
